There are only three teams left who could qualify for the Grand Final - FM ESPORTS, FISH123 and exceL eSports. Who will be narrowly missing out on a finals spot?
FISH123 v FM ESPORTS
How fitting that the top two sides in the league are to face each-other on the final day. With both being undefeated in the league, the winner of this game guarantees themselves a spot into Leicester. Both teams on 14 points, they need to win both maps to make sure they’re taking the top spot and avoiding third.
With FM being the stable lineup, and not a mix, they’re the side most likely to take the match-up. That is assuming, of course, the “robiin factor” doesn’t rear its head again and see FISH take a victory, and the final spot.
Team Endpoint v The Imperial
Endpoint are in a bit of a slump at the moment, as they find themselves in an uncomfortable fifth. The Imperial, just one point ahead of them, are in a similar position, after not winning a series since Week 3. With both sides attempting to claim that fourth place, and the knowledge that a draw could lose it for them both, it’s going to be a battle to see who’ll finish higher.
exceL eSports v ROYALS UK
It’s third vs last in this matchup, and if exceL win then they guarantee themselves a place in the Grand Finals. Simply looking at the form of the two sides, where ROYALS are yet to win a series, exceL would be favoured to take the game and be in Leicester. It’s just who they’d be meeting in the first game, is still in question.
Infused v Impulse Gaming
Impulse are unable to move any higher in the table, and their main intention in this game is to avoid potentially switching places with ROYALS. Infused, on the other hand, have a strong chance to move to fourth with a win, and the prize money that entails.
With that, a few exciting games are set to be played over the night. All can be found over on twitch.tv/esl_csgo as we figure out who’s going to Leicester.
